Daily duties included contact with local law enforcement agencies to gather crime blotter details, reviewing Associated Press wire service and incorporating newsworthy items into newscast, researching various sources of information, including press releases, to develop story leads, monitoring police and fire scanners for information for potential news stories. Listenership increased significantly during my tenure as news director at WCSJ. There were increases in commercial air time sales and positive listener response to the improved local news coverage.

Produced, wrote, and anchored morning drive program Monday through Friday.  Daily duties included operating control board and hosting portions of the morning drive time program, assisting the News Director with news gathering and writing, and covering local government meetings. I anchored afternoon and early evening newscasts.
